Earth Day

Earth Day is as important as Earth Hour. The difference is that it lasts for 24 hours while Earth hour only lasts for a hour!On 22/6/09,i will of every single electric appliance in my house and i will not burn any CANDLES as burning candles produce CO2(carbon dioxide)and CO(carbon monoxide) which may lead to global warming.Wish every one contribute to Earth Day!

Improving the school

Some foods in the canteen taste good but by looking at how they prepare the food,I feel like vomiting. One very good example is stall 5.The auntie receives a coin, then after receiving the coin, she prepares the food without washing her hands. The germs and chemicals on the coin will be consumed by us,thus causing us to waste money on medical bills.By increasing the hygenic measures in the canteen,we can eat without hesitation.

Healthy Eating

Healthy food has more advantages than unhealthy foods.E.g:Carrots have beta carotene which is good for your eyes while fried chicken wings have oily contents which will make you fat.My favourite food is sushi. The raw salmon meat contains omega3 fatty-acids which is a kind of 'good' fat that is beneficial for your body.Too much oily foods may lead to heart attack and high-blood pressure.By eating vegetables, you can live a very long live since it gives you anti-oxidents.

Let's take part in Earth Hour!

In order to show some appreciation for mother nature, the people in Sydney turned of their lights for one hour on 29/3/07.After doing that,it caught the world's attention which make this event GLOBAL.Last year,2008,less than 1 billion people took part in the event. This year, approximately 1 billion people will take part in the event. It is going to take place at the 28/3/09 during 8.30p.m at local time(your timezone).Let's vote for Earth by offing the lights instead of turning on the lights (which means that you vote for Global Warming).I mean, who will be dumb enough to choose Global Warming? Those people who choose Global Warming have a IQ of an ant.Let's take part in Earth Hour.

Passion for learning

Passion for learning is a strong drive to learn. What do i mean by that? One example is my grandmother.Although she is old,she is learning how to speak english very faithfully.I f people does not have Passion For Learning, people would not be smart and they will fail their exams or tests.I think i have a little bit of Passion For Learning.I said this because, sometimes I am very willing to learn something new while sometimes I did not do my revisions as i am a little lazy.If i am not lazy,i can do much better.

Target Setting

I believe that by setting our targets, we can have a goal which we can works towards to.We can set a achievable but challenging goal to make sure that the goal is neither too easy nor too hard to achieve.I have already set my reasonable goals to make sure I wil improve this year so that i can do well for my PSLE this year.I am going to achieve my targets by doing more revision, reading more books(including chinese) and asking the things i don't know from my tuition and school teachers. I will work hard to achieve my goals.

Total defense

On February 15th, 1942,Singapore surrendered to the Japanese on that day .From then, Singapore entered a dark era which the Japanese controls Singapore which is known as the 'Japanese occupation'.After a few years, the Japanese surrendered to Singapore and to prevent future surrenders,we embarked what is known as total defense. This strategy comprises of five parts: Psychological Defence, Civil Defence, Social Defence, Economic Defence, and Military Defence.
Psychological Defence refers to instilling patriotism and pride of Singapore, in all Singaporeans. Civil Defence simply means our local emergency services: the fire department and medical services. The police somehow doesn't fall under this category. Social Defence means keeping Singapore's mutliethnic society a united one in times of crisis, and not letting anybody tear it apart. Economic Defence is the structuring of business plans to minimise negative impact on the economy in times of conflict. Military Defence is self-explanatory.This year's title is 'What will will you defend?I will defend the pledge as it is the pride of the country.
